Growing Information

Direct seeding (recommended).  Sow ½ inch deep after the last frost. Seed spacing, water, and soil health will determine size and height. Tighter spacing will produce shorter and smaller flowers.  

Plant seeds every 2 inches in a row.  I plant 4 rows 10 inches apart. This usually yields a smaller flower.

If grown with larger spacing, fertilizer and ample water some have gotten 10 ft. tall with faces the size of my head

Transplant: Sow ½ inch deep in trays 2 to 3 weeks prior to planting out.

Germination: 7 to 14 days at 70F to 75F.

What is included in the Van Gogh’s Fantasy Seed Mix?

There are approximately 25 seeds in a packet. However, since this is a mix, the seed sizes vary greatly so you may get more than 25 since they are packaged by weight and not seed count.

FAQ's

Can you ship Van Gogh’s Fantasy Seed Mix to other countries?

Unfortunately, due to export restrictions, we are only able to ship to the U.S at this time.  We truly wish we could ship them everywhere to help beautify the earth, but we are bound by these restrictions which are beyond our control.

Limited Liability Warranty

Sunflower Steve Seed Co. warrants that the seeds you buy from us will, when properly stored, planted, and cared for will germinate at reasonable rates for 1 year from the date you buy them from us.

This Limited Warranty does not cover damage to seeds caused by the failure to store them in a cool, dry, dark place. Sunflower Steve Seed Co. does not warrant how productive the plant that grows from a seed may be because this may be affected by variables outside our control, including weather, soil composition, light, disease and pests. This Limited Warranty also does not cover damage to seeds or plants caused by the gardener, weather, acts of God, people, or animals.

How to obtain service under this Limited Warranty

We value satisfied customers. If the seeds or merchandise you bought from us fails to meet the Limited Warranty, please tell us the detail at steve@sunflowersteveseedco.com, or by mail at Warranty, Sunflower Steve Seed Co., N3615 Co. Rd. C., Ellsworth, Wisconsin 54011.

Where possible, we will ask you to return the product to us. For seeds where that may not be possible, we may ask you for pictures. We are not responsible for the shipping costs of any product returns. The buyer’s failure to return the product upon our request voids this warranty.

Order Changes/Cancellations

Adding or removing items from an order

Because we cannot access your credit card information, we are unable to modify your order after it has been placed.

Canceling an order

If you need to cancel your entire order, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number. Your order number can be found in your order confirmation email. We are unable to cancel or remove individual items from your order.
